Kim Makes Kanye’s Slavery Comment Worse
No, Kim, you cannot fix what Kanye said about slavery.
Try as she might, Kim Kardashian attempted to make sense of her husband’s “Slavery is a choice” comment on next week’s episode of KUWTK.
The problem with sticking up for her man is that she was SO VERY WRONG.
In the clip, Kim claims that Ye’s words were edited and misprinted. When in actuality, this may be one of the few times they were not. Her argument is that Kanye didn’t simply say that slavery was a choice. Instead, he said “Slavery was 400 years? If it’s gonna be another 400 years, that sounds like a choice to me.”
Not exactly, Kim.
West’s exact words were, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years??? That sounds like a choice. Like, you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all?”
Meaning, he believes that during the time of slavery, those that were imprisoned CHOSE to be imprisoned. For him, 400 years of imprisonment proves his theory.
Unlike Kim’s butchery of the quote, Kanye was not referring to the future nor was he speaking hypothetically.
Maybe we were moving past his idiotic comments from back in May, but Kim’s ridiculous explanation, stirs the pot.
